Delete your Tally account

How to delete your account in the “Tally” app, also without the app, and what happens to your data afterwards.

In the app

  1. Open the “Profile” tab.
  2. Tap “Account”.
  3. Tap “Delete Account” at the bottom.
  4. The app shows what you will lose. Tap “Delete account”.
  5. Enter your email address and tap “Yes, delete my account”.

Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.

Without the app

Email hello@borstessi.de with the subject “Konto löschen” (delete account). Send it from the address you sign in to Tally with, so we can find your account. We delete it within 30 days, with the same result as in the app.

Write an emailhello@borstessi.de

Before you delete

  • Deleting your account does not end a Tally Plus subscription. Cancel it first where you took it out: in the Google Play Store or the App Store.
  • If you are the only admin of a group, hand it over first. Otherwise Tally makes the longest-standing member with an account the admin. If there is none, Tally deletes the group.
  • To keep your matches, download them first in the app under “Export data”. After deletion this is no longer possible.

What is deleted

  • Your sign-in. You can no longer get into this account.
  • Your name, email address, language and time zone, your notification settings, your device’s notification token and the time you accepted the terms and privacy policy.
  • Your membership in all groups. The groups’ matches show “Former member” instead of your name.
  • Groups in which nobody else with an account is a member, with all their game nights, matches, scores, tournaments, planned game nights, members and invitations.
  • Matches without a group that you created, did not assign to a group and that nobody else with an account took part in.
  • Open invitations to your email address and your open requests to join. Tally declines or withdraws them.
  • The scoring Tally remembered for you per game.
  • Your Tally Plus details with us and your customer record at RevenueCat, the service Tally uses to handle purchases. What Apple or Google store about your purchases is not affected.

What is kept

  • Game nights and matches in groups with other members stay for them, with your scores but without your name.
  • Matches without a group that someone else with an account took part in stay for that person. They show “Former member” instead of your name.
  • Games and templates you created.
  • An account ID without name or address. It stops Tally from creating the deleted account again. Taler bookings from an earlier version of Tally stay attached to it if there are any.
